Council Meetings

The City Council meets on the first Monday of each month at 6:30 pm in the City Hall Building located at 555 S. Lawrence Blvd., Keystone Heights. 

(If Monday is a holiday the meeting is moved to Thursday.)

 Information concerning the User Fee:  The decision to charge a nominal entry fee for the beach was recommended to the City Council by the Budget and Finance Committee and the City Manager.   This is not a fee intended to generate revenue for the city, but rather to help pay for the increased operational cost of electricity, water testing and water usage and paper products.  In addition, having a part time employee to manage the facility should provide a better experience in terms of safety and cleanliness. The fee is only implemented between the hours of   9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and currently is planned to extend through Labor Day.  A previous survey revealed that 95% of the beach patrons did not live within the city limits; therefore the city was paying thousands of dollars in repairs and maintenance that was not to the benefit of its taxpayers.  Furthermore, the city property tax rate for Keystone Heights is one of the lowest in the surrounding area.  City of Keystone HeightsP.O.
